Happy Friday.
Charlotte and I are in the thick of dorm room shopping all week and the items are arriving.
We will probably rent a bigger SUV to transport everything to UNC. It's not like we have the short drive where we can follow each other in cars. So we will have to just rent a bigger SUV and then I can sleep without trying to figure out how we are stuffing everything in my small Bronco. We also need a car that can get us around after we get her moved in. And we will be bringing back transport bags etc with us after they're emptied. So it has to be well organized and well thought out. She's not going to a school an hour away. So, Char and I have been on a mission to have this all bought, organized and put together in the next week.
Oh and to top everything off, our fridge which is only 10 years old, completely broke down 4 days ago. We have a small cooler for milk with ice in it. That's it. So that's been just great! It's allegedly getting installed tomorrow but in order to make a path for the old one to be hauled out and the new one in, one of my bookshelves in the kitchen had to temporarily come out, then has to be reinstalled after they are done, my entire dining room is a mess with kitchen clutter on top of dorm room clutter. A mess. So Web had to postpone his plans to leave tomorrow at the crack of dawn for a big upstate family getaway until we have this whole mess squared away. Then he can make the trek up there. He and his family are going away to some island. Charlotte will be working all week and I will be packing her up. She leaves Aug 12th. It's coming REALLY fast.
She has ordered really cute stuff for the dorm. Very southern, blues and whites, light blue, navy. monograms and floral. So sweet :) She's so excited!
