Happy Monday guys!
Well, we have had a whirlwind of events going on here at Casa Web... We kicked it off with Marina's College Bed Deco Party on Thursday night, then woke up super early on Friday, got all dressed up and the girl received her official Valedictorian Award from Nassau County in a beautiful, fancy ceremony at a country club. I posted pics on Friday. Then game on, I was off and running to get everything in order for Charlotte's big surprise college deco party on Saturday. It was A LOT. She worked for the beginning part of Saturday which bought me time alone to clean and prep her room for what turned out to be, not the usual small amount of friends....Noooo, 20 kids showed up to celebrate her, Yeesh Thank goodness I ordered enough food!
Anyway, she was super surprised and the room was DECKED out! IN all it's UNC glory! But this is what they do now. It is what it is. So, I added my special touch and BAM! She had the celebration she deserves. Another big thing done and in the books. Yikes, it's been crazy.
I ordered specialty pizzas that the kids and they LOVED! Caesar salad pizza, penne a la vodka pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, garlic knots, chicken strips and fries, you name it, I had it. A cake, snacks, drinks.
I also had a pop up tent in the yard with enough seating for 20 of them so they could have their own space. Charlotte was happy and this tired Mom was too, especially seeing her reaction when she walked into her room! Made it all worth it.
So that was the big kick off to the insane next 3 weeks ahead for our little SENIOR. She gets her cap and gown this Thursday and her overnight Senior trip is Fri to Hershey Park. All great stuff!
So a few pics from the weekend. This week on Thursday we have two more awards ceremonies. LOL Then I get a break while she's away Fri/Sat. But as you can imagine, my project list before their party is growing and growing of things that need to be done before July 12th. Thank goodness I started weeks ago with all the planting and flower purchases. But that's minor. LOLLL
