Happy Saturday guys!
Softball news alert: We woke up at 5 AM to take Charlotte out East t her tournament for travel ball today. Guys, she hit a wallop, homerun, dinger whatever you wanna call it fly out to left field it was quite the shot! The crowd went wild. It was somethin'. Then she whacked one to the same spot on the ground, got a double, then a clear shot to center for a single. What a first game!
But wait, there's more. Game #2: First up at bat- She hit another freaking HOME RUN! I know! The crowd went nuts again. Uncle Buddy I will try and email you the videos. You'd get a kick out of me screaming like a lunatic! Then she hit two more doubles. The Coach made a speech at the end of the tournament and gave her the tourney ball! Man, did she earn that! Never seen her so happy. It was great to witness. Tomorrow, she has an elimination gave but thank goodness, not until 1 PM. No crazy early wake up call. That killed us today.
We all came home and crawled into bed. I just woke up from a hard 2 hour nap, so did Charlotte. Just wanted to share that bit of exciting news for the kid. She's worked so hard this year, between Varsity ball and with the batting coach. All that blood, sweat and tears is starting to pay off, A-MEN.
She has a two day tournament in CT on Father's Day Weekend in a few weeks. So we'll stay at a hotel for that. I'm just glad she's getting some real good off season practice for her school team. All good stuff!
