CONGRATS to Charlotte and Marina who both simultaneously graduated on Friday night! What a surreal, whirlwind guys! Wow. And Mom and Dad made it to BOTH ceremonies! Yayyyy
Charlotte had her prom late Thursday night, all the dressing up and hooplah, then got home at 5 AM Friday (graduation day) morning, showered, went to rehearsal and was giving her Valedictorian speech to 860 people in the crowd! Holy Crap. What a proud parent moment and she gave her parents quite the tribute and shoutout. Not a dry eye in the place. I can't tell you how many people approached me afterwards and gushed over her speech. So darn proud.
Then yesterday it was THREE graduation parties and TWO more today. When I say wiped. It's an understatement. And don't forget I have 2 weeks to plan a DOUBLE grad party here. OMG.
And I failed to mention that in the midst of all this insanity, I was SO sick. Like the worst I've been in over a year. Guess my body completely shut down. I'm still recovering!
So I have a few pics to share. It hit me last night as I was waiting for Charlotte to get home, she's not in HS anymore and I got all in my feelings. Haven't had much time to really absorb it until this weekend. Yikes. All good good stuff. But life changing for not just her. As a matter of fact, her speech resonated with a lot of people because it was all about CHANGE.
So Cheers to Charlotte! Well done and BRAVO kid. Something tells me that's not the last time I will be watching her speak in front of a crowd! Let's go UNC!!!! Thank goodness vacation starts tomorrow.
