Happy Sunday guys.
Quick Mother's Day check in. I know this day can be really hard for some. Sending hugs your way.
Charlotte and I went over to see my parents yesterday. My Dad is still on the slow road to recovery. His breathing is labored after the lung surgery, which is taking time. He's tired. He's slowly recovering and it's been a lot. Was really nice to spend yesterday with them. We had a late lunch, watched college softball and laughed. It was just what we all needed.
Speaking of softball, Charlotte's regular season ended Friday night after their last win. They had quite the season. They went 13-3. Pretty impressive. And she stayed at the top of the homerun leader board tied with that other girl with 9 homeruns.
Now, the PLAYOFFS. They start in a week. So next week is an off, just practice week for them. The playoff games start 5/19, 5/20 and if they go to a third game, 5/22. If (praying)they win that series, then they play for the county championship at SUNY Farmingdale College. So day by day here. So much happening. All good though.
We have an awards ceremony for school tomorrow night, then I'm in charge of another retirement dinner for a colleague next Friday, So my "off week", isn't really an "off week". Ugh.
