Happy Sunday guys!
It's been a SENIOR Marathon here as you can imagine.
Friday was the official Senior Commit Day around the world- MAY 1st. This is when all the kids are officially committed to their college and wear their t shirts to school, pics, the whole woohoo! So Charlotte wore hers with pride. I bought a whole bunch of merch from UNC to thank the special people in her school who wrote recommendations and were just supportive. Her favorite band teacher wore his shirt to support her Friday . It was so cute.
I surprised her with a pre-graduation gift. A pin for her to wear inside her grad gown so Aunt Carol could walk with her that day and always. Needless to say, there were tears from her. I thought it was such a sweet idea.
She is still in the thick of softball right now and has her SENIOR game this week, along with awards ceremonies, etc. She's currently at 9 homeruns! I want her to hit double digits before the end of the season.
I've been trying to squeeze in gardening and getting the house together for all the end of year hooplah. Trying to decorate with flowers that represent both of the girls' schools. It's a challenge. The red is easy, but the blue? Forget it. It's crazy.
Dad is coming along. They have now switched his medication from pneumonia to bronchitis. It's been a looong 3 week haul for him. Terrible.
In the midst of all the insanity, the new trend for college kids (girls) are these BED DEC (decorating) parties. They are over the top, where the girlfriends bring the college merchandise , alomg with the MOM to surprise the girl by decorating her bed like I've never seen before, with fun college stuff! Here's the one Char went to yesterday to give you an idea. Thern, the Mom has to feed all these kids, plus throw a grad party. Dear Lord.
That's the update for now. I'm sure I've missed some stuff. My brain is fried.
Have a great start to the week. xo Ann
