Spring Break officially starts NOW!
The car is packed up and ready for a very quick college visit trip down to North Carolina for big web and lil web to see DUKE, Chapel Hill and UVA! Never thought I'd have myself a southern college girl but here we are. She was accepted to these unbelievably prestigious schools and we aren't denying her that. But she needs to see them before committing. She has a break from softball this week and the only time to squeeze in the visit was to leave today after school and make it home by Friday evening. Flying was too risky with the government shutdown. She found out last night she was waitlisted at Duke and will find out sometime in May the final decision, so seeing that is 10 min from Chapel Hill it's a no brainer they should see it.
So, after these 3 visits we will have a much clearer idea of where she'll land and we are SO excited!!! Woohoo and so is she! So yes, could be one of these big southern schools! We may have to buy a little apartment down there LOL
So they will be gone until Friday, then she has softball from Saturday on- Practice Saturday, then games all next week. Was a nice, restful week though.
Her boyfriend Michael just committed to St. John's so naturally Charlotte and I surprised him with some college merch from the school and a little celebration. He loved the sweatshirt so much he put it right on! Such a great kid and TALL! LOL About 6'2.
So all good stuff here on our end. I cannot wait to see where she ends up.SO FUN!! I'll keep you posted . Have a great start to Holy Week!
