Good Friday!

 Happy Good Friday all.

The southern college travelers are on their last leg of the tour and will be home this evening. have NEVER EVER in 17 years heard that much excitement coming from the littlest little about seeing Chapel Hill (UNC) she was going, going, going on about how fabulous it was. Everything. Even the city of Chapel Hill they said was stunning. Not in a run down college neighborhood you would be afraid to send them off to. It was refreshing to hear. Melted my heart. Then they drove about 10 miles from there to see DUKE. Well, the complete OPPOSITE reaction. She hated it! LOLLLLL This is why you actually have to visit the places you've been accepted to and not assume. You get a vibe the minute you step foot on campus. And Duke was not it for her. Then they drove 3 hours back toward home to UVA last night.

They were meeting up with two former students of ours to get a very personalized tour from two D1 athletic girls who are also in a sorority. The thing with Charlotte is she's very academic, but also very sports minded and social. Some of the other big schools (Cornell) being one that we toured were in an area 6 hours away that she did NOT see herself fitting into. The town of Ithaca was just not her jam. She said it the minute we got in the car. The school was very spread out and the students did not seem friendly or happy LOLLLLL So, Chapel Hill embodied everything SHE, herself is. I am so curious to hear her thoughts on UVA today. I can't wait until she gets home so we can sit with everything for a few days and make a clear decision. And it was 80 degrees there now, so that did not hurt! LOL

So all exciting exciting things happening. I will be sure to keep you posted as they unfold in the next week.

Spent the day yesterday with Mom and Dad. Was real nice. Got all of my Easter goodies together and I'm set. Mom is having a big brunch on Sunday. Char's bf Michael is also coming. Excited for the family to meet him.

Until then, happy almost EASTER. Hugs, Ann
