Well, we did in fact get hit with a huge snow storm as was predicted. Well over a foot, then an ice storm hit over it last night, which made the snow feel so heavy as if you were shoveling 2 feet of snow. Unfortunately, our snow blower broke. I guess he said it was a belt or something. Of all storms, it broke in, right? We only have one shovel in the house just for stairs, so he was out there twice yesterday shoveling. And we have a huge piece of property and a whole corner street, plus curved driveway, yadda yadda. So that's that. He went out there for a third time this morning with a shovel to dig out the apron of the driveway and clear our frozen cars off in case we have to get to work tomorrow.
So yes, the entire world had a snow day from school today, but as I look outside, the streets aren't plowed, I guess they are mostly concerned with the primary important roads. The problem is making your way to those big roads. So, not sure about tomorrow. Plus the single digit temps are freezing everything. Yikes. The Mayor just said we haven't had these cold of temps in 8 years! Ughhh
So, the great dig out is today allover NYC and Long Island. We shall see. Watched that show last night with Patrick Dempsey The Mond of A Killer about the hitman. Was really good. Part 2 is tonight. Then it's on weekly Monday nights.
Today, I'll dust off my computer and work on schoolwork. I still have a lot of Midterm Exams to grade.
Stay warm guys. xo Ann
