From upstate!
It was a white knuckle 6 1/2 drive in a blizzard to get there, but we made it. Whoa! When we hit Syracuse it was a winter blizzard! And scary to drive in. We arrived then the family came over for a casual Christmas dinner. Saturday we went over for breakfast to see Web's sister Colleen's new place and had a low key day. Charlotte had the chance to spend the afternoon with her cousin Bridie. Not only do they look a lot alike, they have similar personalities and things in common, which makes it easy. They had a really nice time together. So I was happy about that. It's nice that she has someone up there :) We went out for a bite to eat on Saturday night, then packed up and headed home Sunday.
We arrived home late afternoon on Sunday, unpacked, came home to a fully decorated Christmas house that needed to be packed up and put away. We did that ALL day yesterday. Between the inside AND outside in the rain on top of the snow we got here. Forget it. A muddy mess. But I knew that we were supposed to get more snow today or tomorrow and my fear was that this Christmas stuff would be frozen in time out there until March! So I worked on putting back together the inside from 10-4 and in between Web helped me with the outside and putting everything up in the attic. It's A PROCESS!
So glad it's behind us. Clean house, peaceful house, fresh start for 2026!
Marina also celebrated her 1-8th birthday on 12/28. Can't believe it. We have to head over there today or tomorrow to give her some birthday presents and a hug.
Mom needs to have her shoulder operated on. She's having a tough time, so I'm headed over there to say hi today. I think she has an appointment with the surgeon next week to talk about having it done. I hope she feels better soon.
Okay guys, sending warm hugs to all. I hear snow is coming! xo Ann
