We made it.
Charlotte is sick. Sounds like she's hacking up a lung. Brought her to the doctor the day before her winter concert, she could barely catch her breath, lots of dry coughing and they gave her a nebulizer treatment filled with meds and steroids. Poor kid, Hit her like a ton of bricks. But, as they say, the show must go on. Little did we know she had TWO solos. So, on top of coughing like crazy, she played the piccolo and flute in both performances and rocked it like she always does. Man, that kid, always brings her A game under pressure.
Woke up this morning after that late concert last night and it seemed that the cough was breaking up. But still heavy. She went to school, because she had so much work to do and didn't go to musical pit practice and came right home after school. She rested for about an hour and a half, then needed to work on another college essay. They are all due by next Friday. Lots and lots of these small supplemental essays to write. It's not like it used to be...So by next Friday we will be done with all this college application nonsense and then we wait. And take a deep breath...
So, verrrry busy and stressed with all the college waiting and regular school stuff. But we'll get through it.
Day by day. She had someone cover her shift at work tomorrow so she can finish up all the applications. Just kimd of finally ne done with it all. I look forward to everything being done.
Not much else. Just beat and tired. Cannot believe we'll be hosting Christmas Eve in less than 2 weeks. Holy Insanity! Did I tell you it was our guest's idea to make it a holiday glamour dress code? LOL So we will all be decked out more than usual, Don't know if my tired feet can be in heels the whole time!
Okay guys, let the Christmas Countdown begin! Stay war. Ho Ho Ho.
