Mini Fall Break!

 Happy Wednesday guys!

We have had a real nice 2 days off from school thanks to the Jewish holidays. We just love those here :) Nice, little treat for us.

But naturally, naaah, we don't sit back, sleep in and put our feet up on the couch. Not us, God forbid! LOL

We voyaged to Connecticut early yesterday so we could get an official tour of YALE. Only took us 1 hr 45 to get there which was really, really nice :) And of course, everything you would dream YALE would be and then some. What a great vibe there. It was quiet and welcoming and aesthetically STUNNING. With beautiful old architecture, even a gorgeous library that was inside a cathedral. It was just jaw dropping. They have a second library on campus that is open to the public that has thick marble windows for UV protection of the first draft of the Declaration of Independence , the pen Lincoln used to sign the Emancipation Proclamation and 1 copy of the Gutenberg bible. Pretty impressive.

The grounds were gorgeous, like I said it was a friendly, non-competitive feel, it was refreshing. And it wasn't like we were seeing student body that she wouldn't fit in with. We've gone to quite a few colleges and well, some are just very liberal, let's just say that. Which is fine, but she's not a kid with purple hair wearing a furry costume! LOLLLL So you actually have to go and see in person for yourself to really get a feel for it. And it's like you know right away. So. This was a great visit.

Next up, is Cornell, but we aren't sure how it will come even close to this one. But we will go up anyway, late on Friday. Then go on a tour Sat morning, then head home. She will see Princeton on 10/10. And then that's it! She will have to make a big decision. She can only apply to one for early decision. So........ We pray :)

Had the chance to blow out some candles on Monday night with my family. Was so nice to celebrate with some take out and cake and most importantly my family. I'm so blessed.

Today, we have nothing. Finally. Charlotte has work this afternoon, but that's it. I will spend time on my schoolwork and getting ready to get through the next two days to leave again!

We have another day off next week for another Jewish holiday. I need to start decorating for fall outside, but just haven't had the time. It needs a big fall clean up out there first, which will take a lot of time. So, it'll get done, just not sure when.

That's it for now. Hope you are having a great week! It's still so hot here. Ugh.
