Well, Web had his second foot surgery on Friday. At least he knows what to expect, right? That can be good and bad LOL
The surgery was early and I was able to get him home by noon. The doctor said there was definitely more damage on this foot than the other so that would mean more pain and healing time. Joy! Marina made two HUGE platters of get well chocolate for him and dropped it off. SO thoughtful and sweet.
(look at all that chocolate)
He was in most pain after the numbness wore off on Friday night and all day yesterday. Today, he doesn't seem that bad. Lots of icing and resting. I take him for the follow up to surgeon tomorrow where he will remove the tight bandages, which will help. The stitches will be there for a while and as of the last surgery it was quite a few months before he was able to run. So that's that, I guess. At least the awful super hot temps broke while he's recovering. The lawn hasn't been mowed in 2 weeks, or any of the trim work so there's that. But the landscaper will finally come on Tuesday and take care of that while he's out of commission. When I heard how cheap it was, I thought to myself, why don't we have him come every week? Like, really.
Charlotte has that really big 2 day softball camp out here on Long Island Tues/Wed so please send her good vibes there :) I'll let you know how she does.
Then Friday, I have that photographer taking some Senior pictures of her so I have them in advance for everything this year coming up. Our schedules are always so booked, I can't imagine getting it done during the year. So that's Friday.
We are also gearing up for our big Jersey Shore trip. We cannot wait! We've also extended it to a few of Char's friends, who may come down and join us for a few days. Barb and Marina too.
Charlotte had another graduation party to attend today at a yacht club for a boy who she worked on a lot of school activities with. Nice family. He's our neighbor too.
So that's really all the news for now. We have a patient healing and a 16 year old finally enjoying summer break! She's been working on her college applications and final lists also. Crazy, exciting, scary stuff!
Have a great start to the week. I'll be back to check in.
