Friday Eve!

 Hey guys!

T minus 2 days until we leave for the Jersey Shore. We cannot wait.

(CHEERS TO VACATION- FINALLY!)

It hasn't rained here in 4 weeks so I've had no migraines until of course today, when I'm supposed to be packing up and cleaning the house before we leave. Never fails right? And I'm supposed to finally be getting out of the house to meet Barb and my friends out to eat. Again, figures my head is pounding. Ugh.

So what's been new with us, let's see... Charlotte has been hard at work painting all of the SENIOR milestone posters to kick off the new (last ) schoolyear as the Prez. So that's keeping her busy. She was also offered an Asst. Softball Coaching job in the fall for a 14 youth travel team. She'll be out there doing what she loves and make some extra cash. An old coach of hers called yesterday to make her that offer. How great right? She's also been busy writing these supplemental college essays that a lot of these colleges require now along with the main college essay. Kind of weeds out the pool I guess in Admissions. So, she's been working on that. We drove an hour away yesterday to have her senior portraits for school taken. So we got that first big senior TO DO accomplished, aside from the college applications. She also recorded a short speech the Superintendent asked her to make for the teacher's first day of school to discuss the impact they've had on her high school journey. And in between she's been having fun with her friends down at the beach.

Speaking of friends, 3 or 4 of them will join her throughout the week we are down in Jersey. That should be fun. Marina, Barb and Spiro will be coming down on 8/19 to join us. Really looking forward to some family time with them. Marina also just passed her road test! So we'll have another driver down at the shore. Yay!

The first day down there on Saturday, it will just be the 3 of us, so at least we can set everything up at the house for company, etc. We have to do a giant supermarket run while we are down there. Mainly for just snacks and breakfast stuff. We will order in dinner every night, except Tuesday, Mom is making homemade sauce, meatballs and pasta. Otherwise, if we are cooking and cleaning the whole week, it's not a "vacation" right? What's the point?

So we are really looking forward to hitting all our old favorite spots down there and reminiscing with our beach crew. So many memories there when the girls were little. So nostalgic for us. From when we were little too!

Web is getting his stitches out today, so hopefully, that will help him maneuver a bit better.

Other than all of that, we are psyched to be leaving this house for a week. Web will have his iPad, so I'll try and check in from the Shore to say hi and give an update.
