Sigh Of Relief!

 Happy Tuesday guys.

Mr. Web headed upstate to visit his family early this morning, which left Charlotte and I home to tend to her job responsibilities which started yesterday and driver's ed and softball. If he didn't run up to see them, there wouldn't have been a time this summer for any visit. Charlotte's schedule is jampacked and when we were planning to go up in August, his parents would be away on a cruise. So, better this way and he got his upstate summer visit in...

So, the girl and I are on our own, We had a very good day today. Charlotte worked until noon, then asked if she and I could spend the afternoon at the beach, by the cool ocean. It was so hot and humid here inland today, it was brutal. So we got to the beach a little before 1 and stayed about 2 1/2 hours.

While we were there she got the text alert that her 4 week past due ACT scores for college were in. We have been sitting on pins and needles waiting... She said "Mom I don't want to open it." I said "Girl, it's gonna be great!"  And YES IT WAS! She and I were jumping down on the beach, then happy tears. Then a big sigh of relief! She scored a 35 out of 36. WOW!  That's the top 99th percentile in the country ! Just so proud, beyond words. This was such great news for her. Man. 

So Web was sad he wasn't here to share in the initial excitement but we will celebrate for sure when he gets home. He owes us a dinner out! 

So we are floating on cloud 9 and so overjoyed. Go Charlotte!
