OFF WE GO (again)

 Happy Friday Eve y'all!

We are moving and grooving here in the thick of July Madness. We braved the awful weather all week and are packing up for 3 days to head back to CT (ugh) for Charlotte's tournament. Yes, you heard me, 3 days. She works on Friday and it takes forever to drive there, so we will most likely miss those 2 games. It is what it is. We will head over to the hotel and I guess The Web Srs. are taking the drive to see her this weekend. So we will meet up with them at some point on Friday evening for a bite to eat. Then we have team plans for a dinner on Saturday. She plays 2 games on Saturday, but that's depending on how much the coach will "punish" her for missing the games on Friday because of work. He does that. Ridiculous.

Looking forward to saying adios to this summer travel season and maybe having the chance to do some fun summer things with Charlotte since we are very limited right now. She has far away practices 2 nights a week and tournaments are 3 days over the weekend, so the "fun" factor has been lacking...

We do have the Jersey Shore house to look forward to so I can't wait for that. But that's at the end of August. IN the meantime we have Charlotte's (gulp) senior portraits scheduled once softball is over and we hired a photographer friend to take a few graduation pics for me. I know this year will be super busy for her (and us) and to try and schedule these things during the year will be impossible. So I'm taking care of it in August. Web has surgery on his other foot Aug 1st. So JOY! Nice way to close out the summer, eh? Insert sarcasm. LOL Remember how long it took to heal in February on his other foot? Yikes.

Moving on... So she has late practice tonight and we leave for CT at noon tomorrow. The big, important showcase will be the New England's finest colleges. That's the biggie. Fingers crossed.

So I'm bracing myself for a long drive tomorrow, which I'll have to do because Char and I both were super car sick going last Friday. I asked the husband to try and set up an efficient watering system for my flowers while we are gone the next two weekends. And I think he succeeded. Fingers crossed on that too! LOL

Barb and Spiro celebrate 20 years today in Cape Cod! Go them :) Mom has been busy ubering Marina back and forth to work, etc. But it's keeping her busy too.
