Happy Monday!

We're baack from a softball weekend away in New Jersey.

They played near Six Flags but the hotel they chose was over a half hour away in Princeton. So dumb! So needless to say after a full day of softball we toured Princeton University. It was quite spectacular. Everything you could dream of in an Ivy League school. Wow.

Anyway, as far as the softball went, pretty good. We braved a monsoon on Day 1, then 90 degree, hot, humid weather so there was that. The girl did amazing. The coach has her at second base and here and there shortstop. But quite honestly, he should have her at shortstop primarily. That's what she's best at, that's what she plays for school, statistically more balls are hit there and she's the best Short on the team, so not sure why he keeps putting her at second base but whatever, right?

Didn't say any scouts from the teams/schools she's applying to, so that really stinks, but she's keeping open lines of communication open with several coaches so we'll see. The only college scouts that seem to be attending these showcases are for schools we've never heard of or schools she'd never apply to. So........ But we did come home to a nice personal letter to Charlotte from the Admissions Dean at YALE saying her credentials would make her an excellent candidate so there's that, too.

Just keep doing what we're doing and see how it all unfolds. Luckily we ALL have a softball tournament break for the next 3 weeks. THANK GOODNESS!!

Charlotte has another awards assembly tonight. That's the 3rd one in 3 weeks! We are crawling, exhausted tired today. Yikessssss.

It's rainy, damp and crummy and all I wanted to do was to stay in bed today.

On the bright side. FIVE more days of teaching! YESSSSS

Have a great start to the week guys.

Hugs,

Ann
