Little Derek Down :(

 Happy Saturday all.

Well, what started out as a nice Friday evening softball game ended with us getting an MRI.

Poor Charlotte, first hit of the game, around 6 PM last night, hit a ground ball, ran to first fast, stepped down on first, and the much bigger first baseman backed into her running at a high speed and she went flying, tumbling down the first base line. She was screaming in pain, could not get up for almost 10 minutes. It was scary. She never gets knocked down like that. Poor Charlotte.

The team trainer had worked for a big orthopedic doctor a few miles away, made an emergency call, we laid her in the back seat of my car taped up with ice and they were waiting for us with a wheelchair at the door when I got her there. They saw us right away. Took xrays. Severely swollen, Couldn't put any weight on it. Gave her an emergency MRI and now we wait for the results Monday afternoon. She's in a big brace and using crutches. We got home from all the insanity around 9 PM last night. It was crazy. So please pray that the MRI is clear. This kid is in the most important year of trying to play college ball. Praying hard she'll be good. So all of this was happening while Web was in his High School Musical. Talk about putting on your big girl pants and handling things!

Boy, do they cater to athletes at these places. She was VIP!

Anyway, just wanted to update you. Sitting tight for the weekend and staying positive and hopeful. Please send some healing vibes.
