Well the girl and her dad were away for a day and a half to attend that Amherst College Softball Clinic.
She left there in such good spirits and said there was a really good vibe the whole day. They had her jump into the scrimmage and play first base! LOLLLLLL We were dying laughing. That is one position she's NEVER played. That, pitcher/catcher (although she pitched in little league) But she held her own! She said I got a few girls out Ma1 I stretched really far. We were laughing so hard.
Usually at these clinics you get a range of tiny girls and giant girls. This camp, Web said they were ALL Charlotte's size. She's around 5'3 1/2 - could even be taller by now I'm 5'3 1/2 and she's definitely starting to pass me. So I'm glad she's definitely not the tiniest anymore even though she's a full year younger. I guess eventually they catch up!
All in all, it was a really good experience for her. She loves that school. Everything about it. She had a little one on one time with the head coach as well. And had a really nice conversation with her. Smiles all around.
And now back to reality. Ugh. It snowed here pretty hard all afternoon while we were already in school. Just enough to make a slushy mess. Not like the mid states. I saw they got slammed!
Char's musical practice was canceled tonight, thank goodness, she's sore and tired. And some ACT prep homework to do and studying for a test tomorrow. It never ends!
Tomorrow I will take her to her first one on one full body workout with a trainer set up by her travel team, so we'll see how that goes...
The Coach has a late meet tomorrow night and so on...
Hope you didn't get too much snow! Have a great start to the week.
Love,
Ann
