Hi everyone. We had yesterday off from school for Veterans Day which was real nice.
I spent the entire, first weekend of no softball, Christmas shopping like my life depended on it! I'm 95% done with everything, including new outdoor decorations I bought. My old ones are showing their age. So I invested in a giant 12 ft gingerbread man. LOL He's huge! Like as big as a Thanksgiving Day float, huge! He's really cute. Most of the time these decorations are NOT cute. Did I mention, hes HUGE? LOLLLLLLLLLLLL
When you have a big corner house, ya gotta bring it for every holiday. The house is always on display! LOL So I wasted no time, cleaning a big portion of the house, organizing all of my decor and gifts and getting my holiday/birthday head on straight. I even bought all the wrapping paper. So while everyone is out there scurrying around in the holiday shuffle, I can meet up with someone for a night out!
So, we are now in SAT prep mode here. I mentioned Charlotte will be sitting for that next month. So, fingers crossed on that. She's set up a study schedule, gym workout schedule and homework schedule. If she sticks to it for the next month or so, I'm praying it will all pay off.
Other than those tidbits, the coach's team is going upstate to compete in States next weekend, so Char and I will be flying solo again. Girl time is good. She can watch me decorate the inside of the house for Christmas. Not much decorating motivation for the 15 year old. Can't blame her. We sucked it up and ventured into the woods to take our annual Christmas card pic. I think it was successful. LOL Now I just need to rob a bank to order them!
