What a whirlwind of a few days away!
Phew we made it. It was a lot. Web wound up making it up to see two of the games after his meet so that was good . She wound up playing FOUR games on Saturday. It was just supposed to be two. And we were sitting in torrential downpours. Then had to wake up at 5:30 AM yesterday to get back to the field and play two more games. We were finished yesterday at 1 then jumped in the car and headed home in Sunday traffic. We made it home by about 4 yesterday and unpacked, threw laundry in and sat to do schoolwork. We were exhausted.
It was tough getting up this morning at 5 AM. Darn.
Charlotte did great at the tournament though. She had a few nice hits. Played the field great. She's doing well. Holding her own. The next few tournaments will be big ones for her because she's been in touch with some Northeast coaches that will maybe be there to see her specifically. So that's a little nerve-wracking, but we just have to keep the faith that all this hard work and dedication on her end and our end will pay off! Fingers crossed.
Next weekend, Charlotte and I are headed back up to CT for another tournament, but this time we have to leave on Friday after school. So she and I will be solo again, because Web has another meet and he won't make it up there until late Saturday night...
So day by day here. Little by little. Hour by hour here. Seriously. LOL
